Before boxing with Brin I kickboxed at a gym, which I thought I really liked. However, after about 6 months of being in a group class of 8, I got bored and fed up with the lack of one-on-one attention from the teacher. So I gave Brin a call. We set up a convenient time and place and he taught me the basic forms of boxing–I loved it. He teaches in a way that is easy to understand and he doesn’t ignore any bad habits I had with form. I recommend it to anyone who wants to have fun while getting an amazing workout with fast results, and who needs to
learn at their own pace.
After a couple of years break from boxing and kick boxing on a competition level (6 years), I decided to get back in shape. I took one-on-one lessons with Brin for a year, and he is an amazing instructor. He has a great eye for working on your punching techniques and footwork – and you get a great workout out of each session too. He
also knows a lot about cardio, weight lifting and diet, which has been very helpful for me trying to lose weight and get back in shape again. Finally – but not least important – he is also very pleasant to work with; good humor yet calm and observant. The best boxing trainer I have ever had – and there have been quite a few!
Training with Brin is always fun, rewarding and most importantly,
effective! I train with him three times a week and I’m in the best
shape of my life, I have so much more energy than before and my
confidence is growing by the day.
My sessions are focused on cross training and punching technique. When I first started I would go so far as to say I was clueless, now after
only a few months I’m throwing combinations, my stamina is twice what it was and my punching speed and power have improved 10 fold.
